Starrett CMM Support has Shifted to Sheffield

On June 1, 2005, Sheffield Measurement, a division of Hexagon Metrology, acquired the assets of the Starrett CMM business.  Only the CMM product line was affected; no other Starrett businesses were involved.

Sheffield's acquisition of the Starrett CMM division provides Starrett owners with ongoing service and support, along with a software upgrade path.

Effective immediately, Sheffield Measurement, who has combined their team with Starrett's existing CMM-focused employees, will be the sole source offactory support, service and parts for the Starrett line of CMMs, including:

• Aurora model CMMs
• Vanguard model CMMs
• Premis model CMMs
• Rapid Check and Rapid Check II models

Service and Support for the Starrett line of CMMs will include, but is not limited to:

• Calibrations
• Repairs
• Spare Parts
• Preventative Maintenance

Remaining Inventory

We have limited stock of new and used Starrett CMMs equipped with PC-DMIS available for purchase.  Sheffield Measurement does not plan to manufacture these models on an ongoing basis (although spare parts will be available).
